Linda was born on January 1, 1956, the first girl of the new year born in Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, IL. She graduated from Tinley Park, Illinois High School in 1974. She went on to get her C.P.A. license from Walton School of Business in Chicago.
After too many cold winters, she and Jeff moved to Florida in 1985. She changed careers and went through nursing at MCC, now SCF. She graduated in 1992 with her R.N. Degree. And that was the start of many memorable trips across the country. Linda was a Travel Nurse and she and Jeff traveled all over the U.S. in their motorhome. She was licensed in over ten states and she and Jeff would make plans on seeing as much of the country as possible. From Maine to Washington State, they saw many of the Nation’s National Parks and historic sights. She loved the difference from Florida to the Southwest, and the beauty of both coasts.
She was known for her crafts and handmade quilts, blankets and other projects that she enjoyed giving to people.
She leaves behind her husband, Jeff, a nephew, Michael Betz and his wife, Katie.
We cannot thank the countless friends and dedicated people at Tidewell Hospice enough for all they’ve done. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Tidewell Foundation, 3550 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34239.
A celebration of life will be held June 28th at the family home. That would have been their 45th Anniversary. We ask you to stop and share stories.
