Mary A. Boatright Murphy Harley went to be with her Savior Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the age of 99 at her home in Bradenton. She was born on April 6, 1918 and raised in Arcadia, FL. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Guy (Preacher) Murphy and Carl Harley. She was the last of nine siblings to be greeted by their Heavenly Father. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Myra (Ralph) Hough of Plant City, FL, Marilyn (John) Payne of Bradenton and Eva (Jim) Watson of Linden, TN; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren. Mary was a farmer, fruit harvester and a general store owner in Ona, FL before retiring to Lake Placid, Fl. She came to Bradenton in 2009 and made her home with her daughter, Marilyn Payne. None of her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren or great great grandchildren ever left without her saying, “You know Gran loves you, and don’t you forget it.” She was loved by anyone who knew her and was always willing to help anyone. There will always be a special place in our hearts for “Gran”, “Mama”, and “Aunt Mary”. She was our rock. Visitation will take place Friday, September 29, 2017 from 11-12pm Manasota Funeral Home; 1221 53rd Ave E., Bradenton, FL 34203. The service will follow the visitation, beginning at 12pm. A private family interment will take place at New Zion Cemetery in Ona, FL on Monday.
