

After graduating from Conemaugh Township High School, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army during post war Japan. Upon returning, Bob began a long career with RCA in New Jersey, first as a Technician, then as a Manager. He retired in 1988 and moved to Florida shortly thereafter.
Bob was a lifelong musician, playing his baritone horn with many bands in New Jersey and Florida. Most recently, he played in the New Horizons Band of Gulfport with his son, Tom. Bob was an active member of the community throughout his life. In his youth he was an Eagle Scout and Junior Civil Defense volunteer. As an adult, he was a volunteer fireman, church treasurer, and did more volunteer work with the Civil Defense League. Bob was also an avid golfer, playing several times a week.
He is survived by his loving son, Thomas; sister, Esther (Lohr); grandchildren, Erin (Ourso) and Alan; and great-grandchild, Eloise (Ourso). He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Natalie (Pellatiro).
