Ronald R. Hughes

Ronald R. Hughes, a long time resident of Bradenton, was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 19, 1939 and passed away on February 12, 2016. He retired from Tropicana Products after 25 years of service in 1999.

He was married in 1960 to the love of his life, Kathleen Rivers Hughes, and was happily married for 56 years. He was preceded in death by son, Shane Hughes in 1961. He then went on to have 2 amazing sons, Chris Hughes (Tammy) in 1969 and Jason Hughes (Diane) in 1972. Survivors also include grandchildren, Brandon Hughes, Tiffany Hughes (Coby), and Dristin Hughes; great grandchildren are Aleia Hughes, Jazlynn Council and Jacoby Council; step-grandchildren, Diondra Santibanez (Adrian), Darian Williams, Devyn Williams, and step great-grandchild, Bentley Santibanez. He loved his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids very much, and we would give them the world if possible. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He and Kathy also own a home in Murphy, NC. They traveled back and forth as much as possible, it was his favorite get away. Ronald loved to golf every weekend and would go no matter the weather if possible.

Ronald was 1 of 16 brothers and sisters. Still with us is Opal, Lester, Beverly, Franklin & Bonnie. Deceased are Agnes, Margaret, Jo, Billy, Harry, Sonny, and Kenneth.

The family will receive friends at Manasota and Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton, Florida on Wednesday, February 17 th from 1:00 – 2:00pm with services following at 2pm in the Chapel.
