 Sue,

We love and miss you so much already. We miss when you would come into the office on any given day and fill our bellies with your delicious meat ball subs, chicken & dumplings, sloppy joes, chili, desserts and so much more. You always took such good care of us. You were the best office mom :) We'll miss how thoughtful & generous you were - whether it was getting socks for Christmas, blankets you would hand make for new born babies, or your seemingly never ending supply of candy, you had a heart that loved to give. You were fiercely loyal, evident by the 38 years you spent working at Keeton's. You loved your family and friends deeply, often telling stories of how proud you were of each of them. We enjoyed watching you come to life in a whole new way these past few years as you traveled the high seas and cruised your way around the world. You had so much fun! If anyone was lucky enough to know you, Sue, they were touched by your ability to make people feel special. And as your birthday buddy, I'll always remember how we'd share a moment reflecting on all the years we've spent celebrating our birthdays together. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. We love you! -Your Keeton's family!

I will be forever grateful for Sue behind that desk at Keeton's. That's where I met her, that's where we got to know one another, that's where I will always picture her smiling at me and sharing words of encouragement. I honestly can't imagine how I could have self-published three books without Sue's help. I'd send her the files and she'd get my working copies made and shoot me a quick email or call me up. We shared a love of local history. One day, out of the blue, she presented me with two vintage books on Manatee County history because she knew I'd love them. I did. And I will cherish them now more than ever. I knew I'd miss Sue (and the gang at Keeton's) when we moved to Pensacola last year. Keeton's was an amazing place—mostly because of the staff and the endless possibilities presented by art/office supplies. I was devastated to learn the store permanently closed. Now I feel a deeper loss for certain. I know that, even though I received but a fraction of her love, I am a better person because I knew Sue.

I will always remember the amazing Lasagna Sue made for my daughter's birthday party.  I had not met Sue until that day I picked it up from her but I remember what a sweetheart she was.  Rest in God's peace Sue.  And praying for peace and comfort for your family. 

We spent a lot of time together in our high school years and it has been a long time since we were face to face. She always had a smile and a big heart for everyone she met and was a great cook even in her teens. 
Always hoped we would get together again. Just shows that you should never put things off. Who knows what tomorrow may bring.

   I was in Sue's graduating class at SEHS.   I will always remember her as a cheerful person who was literally friends with everyone.  Rest in Peace Sue, you will be sorely missed.

Sue and I were not fast friends, but we were friendly. Our paths would cross every now and then, and of course, there is facebook. 

My strongest memory of Sue goes back to SEHS and her phenomenal ability to perform a Chinese split. Always blew my mind. 

I am very sorry for your loss. 

Such a beautiful lady inside and out!!  I remember her coming to Alabama in 2015 and visiting with her long time friend, Johnnie Tyre Owens, that was battling a long time illness.  She sure made a impact on all the family while she was here!!! Praying God comfort and give peace to her family for today and the days ahead!!
