The family moved from Shawnee, KS to Sarasota, FL in 1976.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Martha Schroeger, her brother Paul Schroeger, and her granddaughter Sara Cronin.

Sue is survived by her husband Larry Cronin. Four children Christine Hunt (William) of Sedalia, CO., Stephen Cronin (Kari) of Bradenton, FL., Angela Fonte (Cesar) of Sarasota, FL and Julia Cronin-Dolford of Tampa, FL. Sue was loved by all and will truly be missed. Her family was of upmost importance to her. She was a dedicated and supportive wife, always the sister with an ear to listen, a mother you could trust for the best advice and a grandmother the loved her grandchildren with a passion. She loved passing her cooking, crocheting, and crafting skills on to her daughters and granddaughters. Two of the granddaughters in particular loved what they referred to as “Granny Camp”. Spending a week or two during summer break with Sue to learn the skills that are a lost art in today’s world.

As a Eucharistic Minister for our Church, I will always remember giving communion to Larry and Susan as they stood side by side and received together. I appreciated their witnessing in communion with Jesus. May Susan now rest in peace with our Dear Lord and His Blessed Mother.

When Sue and Larry walked into my office, I knew it was time to get them on a cruise again. She loved sailing with her husband. It didn't matter where they were going but Alaska was a favorite. A table for two, by the windows looking out over the back of the ship was her favorite spot for dinner.

She was a wonderful person and a joy to know for over 12 years. She will be missed.

Sue was the kind heart of our family! She will forever be in our hearts!
Even in our large family, Sue never had an unkind word for anyone.
We loved the several cruises together and one more would have been wonderful!
We miss and love her.
One day we will all be a family together again!
Love you Sis!!!!

Mrs. Cronin was a truly beautiful person. I met her through her granddaughter Sara Cronin and came to see her as another grandmother. She was always a joy to be around and just brought a light into any room she entered. I know without a shadow of a doubt that she is looking over all of us. It was a blessing and a privilege to know her! Love you Mrs. Cronin and I will miss you deeply!

Such a beautiful soul and amazing mom!
From the first time I met her in Saint Augustine over 35 years ago to the fun time at Tine’s wedding and all the special visits to see Sara in between - every time I was in her presence was as though I was with my own mother. She loved her kids and grandkids dearly and it was a joy to behold! We will miss you on Earth yet know you and Sara are having such fun now. Hugs.

Look at her beautiful face. She was beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. She was the sister that I never had. I was raised with 4 older brothers ( Larry being the oldest). I didn't call her my sister-in-law, she was my "Sis". In the last few years I traveled with her and Larry and made so many wonderful memories. She really was one of the most wonderful people that I ever knew. I love you "SIS. You will always be in my heart.

Sue was such an amazing person. I loved spending time with her when she would come to Kansas City, especially the last few years when her and Larry would stay at my mom’s house. She always had such a warm and caring way about her. I will never forget that she gave my youngest daughter a very special blanket when she was born because she wanted us to feel connected. I wish I would’ve known the last time I saw you was going to be the last time. You were a special lady and I will always remember you.
