

On Saturday, December 5, 2020, Joan Wilson Brinkerhoff was called home to her Lord and Savior. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, and witness to many of the salvation found in Jesus Christ. In addition to serving her family, she enjoyed teaching in Christian education and Bible studies at church.
Joan, the daughter of Norman Hall Wilson and Emily (Palir) Wilson, was born on January 19, 1928, in Manhattan, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, John (Jack) Brinkerhoff, son, John Brinkerhoff, daughter-in-law, Jill Brinkerhoff, and brother, David Wilson. Joan is survived by her children--Jane Brinkerhoff, Norman Scott Brinkerhoff, Paul (Bette) Brinkerhoff, and Timothy (Lori) Brinkerhoff, 13 grandchildren—Nathan, Peter, Andrew, James, Annelise, Kathleen, John, Peter, Kimberly, Joshua, Jonathan, Alisha, Stephen, and 18 great grandchildren. She often prayed that they would be the next generation to proclaim the glorious deeds of the Lord.
Visitation will take place at Newton Covenant Reformed Church, 23 Thompson Street, Newton, on Wednesday, December 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. Private service to follow (also livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page). Interment at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery, 580 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ, at 1:30 p.m.
