Jolene was born in Cleveland, OH on August 10, 1953 to the late Willard and Mable Ruth (Newman) Harris. Jolene grew up in various locations within the states before settling in Frankford Township 41 years ago. Prior to her retirement she was a florist at Bob's Florist in Peapack-Gladstone and a Postal Carrier at the Branchville Post Office for 26 years. Jolene’s heart brimmed with compassion for all animals, she especially appreciated dogs, cats, horses, goats, birds and fish. When she was younger, she did many shows in the NJ Area showing her horses, Thunder and Gunner and traveled around the country for exotic bird shows with her parrots.
A dedicated gardener, Jolene had a remarkable green thumb, transforming her backyard into a vibrant oasis of colors and scents. Among her many joys was the simple pleasure of putting out bird feeders, creating a welcoming haven for the feathered friends that frequented her garden. Another cherished aspect of Jolene's life was her pond, a tranquil retreat, where she devoted countless hours to ensuring the well-being of her beloved fish.
Jolene is survived by her loving husband, John Newcomer, her canine companion, Bailey, her cats, her sisters-in-law, Judy Newcomer and Sandy Newcomer and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Tom Newcomer and Jim Newcomer.
