Kenneth "Ken" R. English

Ken was born in Trenton, NJ to Marilyn Buchanan and the late Pete Stirnweiss. His parents, Russell and Anne Marie English, adopted him as a baby. Ken worked in retail for much of his life in the grocery industry. He held many positions from sales to management, business owner, and most recently Union Butcher at ShopRite.

Most of Ken’s favorite activities and hobbies involved spending quality time with his family who he loves and adores. He enjoyed skiing the mountains of Vermont, camping, working in the yard, gardening, making maple syrup, throwing horseshoes, sitting around a fire, or simply grilling at family barbeques while sipping a nice cold beer.

Ken was a dedicated father to his daughters. Having been a huge sports fan, he always enjoyed watching or coaching his daughters’ teams as they were growing up and had been very involved in the local Softball league when they were younger.

His sense of humor always made others laugh, and his smile contagious. His relaxed nature and live in the moment mentality made him the life of the party.

Ken was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Roseann Macino; and his father-in-law, Joseph Macino. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina English, who he married in 1988; his daughters, Brittany and fiancé, Brad Devens, Kristen, Lauren and Leah English; his parents, Russell and Anne Marie English; his sisters, Alyson Grine and Jessica Michener, their spouses, his nieces and nephews; and his brother, Hunter Stirnweiss.

A Memorial Mass of will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 209 Route 206, Branchville, NJ.
