Ronald was born in Augusta on August 3, 1939 to the late August and Anna (Roesing) Meyer. Prior to his retirement, Ronald was a Carpenter at Donald Begraft Carpentry and a County Worker for the Sussex County Road Department. Ronald was an avid fishermen and hunter and loved to be outdoors. He was a talented woodworker and was keen on creating and building new projects. He had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of his plants and flowers. Most importantly Ronald cherished spending time with his family.
The beloved husband to Kay Meyer, Ronald is survived by his daughter Kim Staerker and her husband Mike; his sister Anna E. Vealey and his grandchildren Bethannie M., Ryan M. and Matthew J. Staerker. Along with his parents, Ronald is predeceased by his brothers, August and Robert Meyer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ 07826. A memorial service will begin promptly at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Frankford Plains Cemetery, 100 Plains Rd, Augusta, NJ 07822.
