Tom was known and loved by many, especially in the town of Branchville, NJ, where he was the owner of Cliff’s Garage until his retirement from full-time work in 2021. Because of his love for working on and restoring cars, Tom continued working part time at HullCo Garage in Layton, NJ, where he was still employed and loving what he was doing up until his untimely passing.
Tom also very proudly served as a member of the Branchville Hose Co. for over 40 years, serving as Chief in 1995. He truly loved to help and serve his community.
Tom had a variety of interests. He started bowling, camping, and attending Nascar races earlier in life and continued camping throughout. Cars were his “thing”. He loved going to car shows and especially loved “tinkering” on his 1951 Red Ford Pickup. Most recently, Tom developed a passion for coin collecting and would spend hours behind the eye of the microscope determining years, values, and then determining what to do with those coins.
Beyond all, Tom loved and cherished his wife Kathy to whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this July. Together, they spent many years together side by side along with their past fur babies and current dog Ellie for whom Tom also loved and treasured dearly.
Tom was a true family man in every sense of the word – he loved spending time together with family members and made every effort to be sure this happened. He was a man that has been described by many as a “once in a lifetime kinda guy”. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone and do so with a smile on his face and without thinking twice about it.
God has truly gained a Perfect Angel.
Tom is predeceased in death by his parents, Cliff and Annette Cuneo, his in-laws Roy and Betty Knight, and his sister-in-law Lorraine Knight.
