Daniel was my first cousin on my mother's side of the family.  Although we lived 400 miles apart, some of my favorite childhood memories were the times we spent together.  Daniel was sweet and loving with a sense of humor that joined in on all the family fun.  As adults we may have been physically distant, but the bond of love endured.  In later years we shared our memories, and I learned a few  family secrets along the way.  I loved my cousin dearly, and I'm comforted by the thought of knowing Dan and Evelyn are together again with the family on the "other side".  In my mind they are all together at our cabin at Pinecrest, laughing and telling family stories.
