When I was little, my Mom was good at sewing clothes for me and herself. She made us matching dresses and sewed the only kind of pants that I was comfortable wearing.  She and my Dad were quite skilled at sewing covers for all their household items like the oddly shaped table, mini ottomans, car seats and wicker chair cushions. My Parents liked dancing at parties, bowling in a team league, playing tennis on a summer day, and at one time, creating ceramic figures, jars, and a clock. We still have that first clock and jar that they created. My Dad taught my brothers and me how to be handy around the house and learn how to fix things before hiring someone. My Dad is the main influence my brothers and I like photography. He took photographs when we traveled to some scenic place or when we attended special events and occasions. I thank him for blessing us with this extraordinary hobby. He taught us the best way to preserve our beautiful memories. My Parents were always grateful for and appreciated what they had. They gave to family and various charities when they had the means. My Mom taught me how to pray not just to remind us that God loves us, but also to always say Thank You to our Lord. My Parents basically took care of Gabriel and Garrick since they were babies. My parents attended preschool graduations, grandparents’ days, open houses, 8th grade celebrations, band performances, sports events, first communions, confirmations, graduations and birthdays. They were that special support for each of my sons’ stepping stones in life. I Love you so much Dad and Mom. Thank you for your beautiful love, for your generous hearts, for all that you have done, provided and taught me during your presence in my life. You were the most important Blessings in my life. Rest in Peace and in Love Forever with the Lord. Please watch over Garrick and give him our Love... Until we are reunited.

Violets are Blue

My Grandpa Frank and Grandma Vi were the only grandparents I ever knew, and they were the best grandparents I could have ever had in any life time.  They were grand in every sense of the word.  They were the last line of defense whenever me or my late brother were in need in our early childhoods.  They were the warm safe place when our close family got together.  And they were the life of the party everywhere they went as My mother, and their daughter, Deanna, always told me.   And they were rightfully so, as everywhere they went they uplifted everyone with a warm and welcoming energy.   Although I've only known them for but a fraction of their long lives, they've been there for me for the entirety of my life.  Their presence has been one of the greatest blessings in my life, something I wish I never took for granted.  You always wish your loved ones could live forever, and although their time here on Earth has come to an end, I have no doubt my Grandma and Grandpa are living happily and peacefully in Paradise.   And they'll continue to live on in our memories and hearts, because their life will still be felt at each party from now on.

Words can’t express how much I miss & love you, nor can they express just how proud I am to be your granddaughter. You’ve been my real life super hero my entire life, fighting to the ends of the earth to stay with us and be here for Grandma. You fought a great fight, and I appreciate you for always doing your best. And since you’ve finally gotten to rest, Grandma wanted to join you and be with you for the rest of eternity. Thank you for all your tight, warm hugs. Thank you for doing whatever you could to provide a better life for the Lara Family. Thank you for being the coolest and hippest grandpa there is. Thank you for making each of your grandkids feel special in their own way. Thank you for always making me feel like your baby Princess no matter how old I was, I’ll miss hearing you call my name and smiling so big every time you see me, my heart would explode. Taking mom and dad to Reno with Natnat and stay at our favorite hotel casino Peppermilll and stay in the nice Tuscany Rooms, was one thing I loved to do to spend time with them!  Natnat loved it too plus she would have little pillow fights in the hotel room with grandpa!  And when mom started getting dementia natalie would go take her to the restroom and bring her back safely cuz mom would get lost!  

With our deepest sympathy words fall short of expressing our sorrow for your loss Donnie, Deanna, Hector and Family. Mom and Dad was such an inspiration to many of us. I love them both so much coz they accepted me and welcomed me into your family from the day I first met them. They definitely made me feel and treated me like their own daughter. Mom and dad has always been lovable, supportive and a great advisor but most of all they've master how to be the best parents and grandparents anyone could ever ask for. That's why my Princess Dee always tells me "mom their my idol" and I totally agree and tell her "me too!! And their sense of humor is one of a kind😄 I will definitely miss their jokes and beautiful smile. I love you mom and dad!! May you both rest in paradise. And may your souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

My now deceased husband Damaso “Dem” Soberon and I Presentacion “Pressie” Soberon cherish forever in our hearts the true friendship and fond memories with our dear beloved Frank “Kiko” Rosal Lara and Violeta “Violy” Lara now both with our Lord.  We were neighbors in Pittsburg, CA for many years until they moved to Oakley, CA some years ago.  We and everyone in the neighborhood on Catamaran Circle missed them very much, as well as the family - Donnie, Deanna and Hector now happily married with families of their own.  Compadre Frank and Comadre Violy  were godparents at the wedding of our youngest son Sedwin.  Now they are enjoying altogether eternal life in paradise with God.
