

George Francis Clark, 92 passed away peacefully at home on the 4th of July amidst the beauty of lights, colors, and sounds of fireworks celebrating America's Independence. George succumbed after a battle of 13 years with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Detroit Michigan, George was an only child. Through his working years he was dedicated to his family’s demolition business. He also worked as an airplane mechanic while living much of his life in San Francisco and El Sobrante, CA. George loved German Shepherds and animals of all kinds, Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching sunsets, walking, and the great outdoors.
George served in the Army Military Police - Platoon 7th Infantry Division. He was a an expert rifleman and proudly served in both WWII and the Korean War.
George was known to be a kind and generous man who had hopes and high spirits even through the darkest periods of his life.
George had one loving son David George Clark, who pre-deceased him. George is survived by his granddaughter Michele Castano, his 3 great-grandchildren Celine Esperanza Castano, Cameron David Castano, and Camille Amanda Castano of Brentwood California and is grieved by his dedicated nurse and friend Michelle Ng Scherler and her husband Quincy Scherler of Benicia California.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday July 15th at 2:30 p.m. at Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 1st Street Brentwood California 94513
