

Lex left the Netherlands, along with his wife Tina and their two children, aged two and four, on March 5th, 1957. They arrived at Salt lake City, Utah on March 17th, 1957, their 5th wedding anniversary.
Lex worked for Harman Management from 1957 to 1993. Lex's determination to succeed in a foreign country and learn a new language demonstrated his strong desire for success. Lex started as a janitor quickly worked his way up through the system often taking on tremendous challenges. In 1963, Lex ventured with his family to California to become vice president and general manager of the new California Division of KFC. He opened the Sacramento Quality Distributing Company there and played an intricate role in expansion. He opened a new KFC store every 28 days for many years.
Lex is survived by his loving children, Ina Overzet and Chris Overzet of Brentwood, grandchildren Tina Oteri of Discovery Bay, Kirstien McDaniels of Katy, TX, Scarlet and Evan Overzet of Brentwood, and great-grandchildren John Ray Montanez of Katy, TX, and Alexis and Dominique Oteri of Discovery Bay. He will be greatly missed by his family and by all who knew him.
Lex is preceded in death by his wife Tina, who passed away in 2003, and his son Reinder, who passed away in 1985.
