I just found out today of Richard's Passing.  Richard and I became very good friends over the past years.  He became my attorney and served me very good.  I had been trying to contact him for about 3 months to no avail.  He talked about moving to Texas and that's what I thought he did.  Richard, I will miss you very much and rest in peace.

 Richard i miss you very much. So do dan and the girls. But most of all Daisy Mises you!

I always enjoyed engaging Richard in topics of the day.  He had a sharp wit and could express his viewpoint almost to the point of changing your mind.  Rest in peace my friend.  You will be missed.

I met Richard when he became a charter member of the Kiwanis of Greater Concord club six years ago.  We enjoyed his sense of humor and take on life.  He used to tell us he wanted to rename our club to the Kiwanis of Greater Concord Richard Bates club.  We truly enjoyed his fellowship and will miss him greatly.

So sad to hear that this young and energetic man passed. I remember him during my term on the City Council as an outspoken but kind person who was dedicated to his party and community. He truly cared about making improvements to the city. He always had a smile for you when you talked to him. His passing will be a loss to many. My condolences to his family.

I met Richard during our City Council Campaign back in 2005. Although we were opponents politically, I considered him a close friend and will miss our conversations.  Richard and I would debate and poke fun at each other. I enjoyed his sense of humor and friendship. He will be missed!

So sorry to hear of Richard's passing!  A truly nice guy...compassionate and kind with a great smile.  He will be missed!  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

It has been years since we have seen Richard, but today's news of his passing came as a shock. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Richard!
