Roger Ray Lewis

Roger was born on February 14, 1949 in Martinez, California to Walter and Pauline Lewis. On Saturday, July 27, 2024 passed away peacefully at the age of 75. Roger had an influential and productive life as husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He served his country as a soldier in the 172nd Infantry Brigade during the Vietnam War Era. He was a former 4H leader, youth football volunteer and a proud member of the UA Local 342 Plumbers & Steamfitters for 49 years. He built his own home in Byron,CA where he was a resident for 45 years. Roger will be remembered for his great storytelling, always willing to give a helping hand, infectious laugh, and loving kind heart.

He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Dykens, his brother Clinton Lewis, his son Kevin Lewis, and step daughter Sabrina Ortiz.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Avril Lewis, son Todd Lewis and wife Deanna Lewis,, step daughter Marissa Smithwick and husband James Smithwick, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Roger on August 23rd - 3:00pm at the Lewis Residence,
