

Wilma Lee Middleton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2023, at the age of 91. Born on October 7th, 1932, in Henrietta, Oklahoma, Wilma was the cherished daughter of William Augusto Franks and Willie Mae Franks.
Wilma's family of 13 relocated to Brentwood, California, where she would eventually meet the love of her life, Laron C. Middleton. They formed a bond that would stand the test of time. In November of 1949, Wilma gave birth to her only child, Jackie Lee Middleton. As a devoted mother and homemaker, Wilma poured her heart and soul into her family, making her a cherished wife, mom, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Wilma is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Karen Middleton, her two grandchildren, Jennifer Middleton and Natalie Helbling, and her three great-grandchildren, Emily Ann Munoz, Ashton Helbling, and Gunther Helbling. She also leaves behind a precious great-great-grandchild, Declan Dillon. Her family was Wilma's pride and joy, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Throughout her life, Wilma had a passion for water skiing and camping, even if she couldn't swim. She embraced the thrill of gliding across the water with a joy that was infectious. Wilma also had a fondness for garage sales, both attending and hosting them. She enjoyed hunting for treasures and decorating her home with her finds. Her culinary skills were also renowned, particularly her desserts and traditional Southern dishes.
Wilma's warm and gentle spirit endeared her to all who knew her. Her genuine love and affection for her family touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. As we mourn her passing, let us celebrate the beautiful life Wilma lived and the lasting impact she had on all those fortunate enough to have known her.
