Beverley Ann PenDell

Beverley Ann PenDell passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on May 5, 2026. Beverley was born February 7, 1940, to her beloved parents, Mary Corinne Brunelle and Alson James Kirk in Albany NY. She and her brother Rob grew up enjoying the beautiful lakes and mountains in upstate New York alongside family and friends.

Beverley graduated from Watervliet High School in 1957 where she enjoyed many activities including dance and basketball. She earned her RN in Nursing from St. Mary’s Hospital and subsequently worked there. In the early years, she raised her young family in Clifton Park loving life, her community, church, neighbors, nearby family and even was in the Clifton Park Cloggers, a folk group.

Beverley moved to Texas then back to New York and where she met her husband, Penny PenDell. She dabbled in real estate and banking and was a substitute school nurse. Together they shared many adventures moving to Ormond Beach, Florida then back to the South to be closer to family. She was a proud grandmother and enjoyed watching baseball, football and soccer games, dance recitals, plays and volunteered at the elementary school on occasion. They eventually moved back to Ormond Beach to resume retired life and found a wonderful group of friends who meant the world to her. They enjoyed celebrations, dinners, HOA work, beach life and adventures together including hunkering down for a few hurricanes.

Some years ago, Beverley moved to Brentwood, TN to be closer to family. She loved seeing her grandchildren more and partaking in wedding events, holidays and of course seeing her many great-grand dogs. She enjoyed living at the Harmony in Brentwood, and was visited often, she loved her neighbors, the Holy Family small group and all those who cared for her. Beverley had an infectious smile, and her wit and humor made her easy to love and fun to be with. She cared about everyone she met and was a good friend to all, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Beverley is survived by her son Mike (Kim) Deskewies, daughter Connie (Steve) Heckle, the many Grandchildren she adored, including locally Katie (Jon) Crowson, Jaclyn (Tyler) Kilburn, Carter Heckle (McKenna), Rachel (Carter) Hall, her newly born Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Beverley is preceded in death by her husband Penny PenDell, her parents Connie and Alson Kirk, brother Rob Kirk, son Jeff Deskewies and step-son Scott PenDell.
