

Bob served in the United States Navy for 4 years at the end of World War II as a Third Engineman on the USS LST 1078, USS Ardent and the USS Conserver. He was married to Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Stone on August 10, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee (they were married for 45 years before her death).
Bob worked as Maintenance Superintendent for Ryder Truck Rental then after 28 years, he retired. He was a lifetime American Legion member and a 32nd degree Mason. Bob had a passion for woodworking; and loved Nascar Racing; all things UT sports. During his younger days he loved racing go carts, having a beautiful yard and a large garden with many types of vegetables. He had a great sense of humor and his favorite thing to say if someone asked if he needed anything was "some money". He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Bob was survived by his children, R. Dennis O'Riley (Mary K) of Marietta, GA; Steven Wayne O'Riley of Rockvale, TN; Cynthia O'Riley Neely of Nashville,TN; Judy Ann Masey (Roy) of Hartsville,Tn; Lisa Bible of Jefferson City, TN. He was Paw to 15 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Elizabeth "Liz" O'Riley; son, David Brian O'Riley; and son, Michael Dennis Biggs; parents, Shaw and Dena O'Riley; sisters, Grace Barker, Nancy Edwards, Betty Wilson; brothers, Marlon O'Riley and James O'Riley.
Graveside service for Bob will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors.
