Born February 25, 1938 in Mason, Michigan, he came to the area 23 years ago from Weidman, Michigan. He was a factory worker for GM Automotive, was a member and past Master of F & AM Brotherhood Lodge 375, and Protestant by faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: William “Bill” Bailey of Decatur, Illinois and Bruce & Kim Bailey of Charlotte, Michigan; two stepdaughters: Alison Payne and Diana Popson, both of Gulfbreeze, Florida; sister: Patti McGowan of Bartow, Florida; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
An Inurnment will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, August 2, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery, with military honors.
