
Waldron, Dr. Carl Frank, age 88 of Brooksville, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Brooksville Healthcare Center, Florida. He was born in Ballston Spa, New York on May 28, 1933 to George and Dorothy Waldron. He served in the United States Navy and worked as a music teacher in education. Carl married is wife Carol on July 6, 1955 in Norfolk, Virginia. They spent 66 years together.
He is survived by his wife: Carol S. Waldron of Brooksville, Florida; son: Calvin and (Sherry) Waldron of Greenwich, New York, daughters: Kim S. and (Bill) Hertz of Sparks, Nevada; Christi Anna Pinto of Saratoga Springs, New York; grandchildren: Elijah Pinto, Jordan Pinto, Justus Waldron, Micah Joy Guenther, Johanna Waldron; great-grandchildren: Miriam Guenther, Georgia Guenther, Winnie Waldron. and Vivianne Waldron.
He received his Bachelor of Sacred Music from Nyack College in 1962, Masters of Religious Education and PhD as a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice University in 1980. He served as a Minister of Music in various churches through the years wherever they lived. He taught in the Troy, NY and Ballston Spa, NY schools system at the High School and elementary levels until retirement. Carl was the Fine Arts Director in The Dalat School for missionary children in Penang, Malaysia where he served with his wife Carol for 2 years. After their return to the States he taught Music part time at Schenectady Christian School, in Scotia, NY and also at Loudonville Christian School, Loudonville, NY. Carl was a prolific composer and created many beautiful musical arrangements not only for voice but for piano and organ, throughout his life.
Carl will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his musical abilities (he used to be called "Dizzy Fingers!") through which he ministered or expressed The Gospel.
The funeral service will be held at Hope Community Church 13241 Spring Hill Drive, Springhill, Florida 34609 at 10 a.m. Thursday 10/28/21 with light reception afterward.
In lieu of flowers any contributions can be sent to the church address for their general fund in honor of Carl Waldron.
