

Carol Parrish, 70, of Center Hill, Florida passed away November 19, 2014 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Born July 25, 1944, she is predeceased by her parents, Lieutenant Colonel Winfried C. Christopher and Martell Kight Gibbons. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Day of Bushnell, as well as many loving cousins. Carol was most frequently referred to as “Captain Carol” of Weeki Wachee where she captained the River Boat Ride for the last two decades. She led her life as she performed her job, always present and always responsible. She loved natural Florida and frequently visited state parks in her efforts to attain more interesting information to add to her riverboat spiel. She furthered this pursuit by reading and recently taking an interpretive class. Carol loved life and added greatly to the lives of those around her who witnessed her determination and loyalty. Services were held at the Baptist Church of Center Hill, Saturday, November 22, 2014.
