He was born May 6, 1937 in Greenfield, Tennessee and came to Brooksville 54 years ago from Vero Beach, Florida. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Brooksville and was of the Protestant faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva, his son, Hollice Dale Knott and his brothers, Fonzie G. Knott and Monty R. Knott. He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay Elaine Brayko of Alabama, Sandra Gaye Slauter of Alabama and Martha June Poole of Inglis, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
