
Donald Gene Crouse passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2014 in Spring Hill, Florida after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 2, 1931 to parents, Edith and Marion Crouse in Carson City, Michigan. Don attended Central Michigan University for his undergraduate degree and University of Michigan for graduate school. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Don enjoyed a lifetime career in education as a Teacher, Principal and retired after 24 years as Superintendant of Schools in Cass City, Michigan. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing on the Great Lakes and never passed up an opportunity to golf. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 35 years, Joyce; daughter Darla Babcock (Jim); son Allen Crouse (Nancy); step children Ken Frederick (Luanne), Laurie Stumpf (John); sister Joanne Gaultney (Jerry); brother Phillip Crouse (Eddi); 5 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Don was preceded in death by Florence his first wife of 25 years, his mother Edith and father Marion. Memorial Service and Internment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
