Born April 5, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, he came to the area ten years ago from Thonotosassa, Florida. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and worked at Quest Diagnostics for 13 years. He retired from the lab and started an insurance business five years ago called ASE Insurance Agency, was a member of Scooter Haven Country Club and a member of the Patriot Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Wilde; son, Edwin C. Brooks III; daughters, Ariana Brooks and Selena Brooks; brother, Paul Hawks; sister, Jeannie Brooks; and four grandchildren, Kayla Brown, Robert Brown, Tony Seelye and Shyla Brooks. Inurnment with military honors will be conducted at 2:00pm, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
