I used to call him Fredley. I'm big on nicknames. Fredley would always greet me with a "Hey Girl." I guess he was big on nicknames, too :) I worked with Fred for a long time. He was always wonderful to me.  He would rib me about eating Chinese food or for hand writing all of the Christmas party invitations in calligraphy. He was always funny. And he always treated me with kindness. Once he retired, he made sure we never felt forgotten. He'd bring by Christmas cards from him and Momma. He'd bring tomatoes from his garden. He'd stop by just to say hi.  If we were at the back gate for whatever reason, he'd stop by to chat and shoot the ....  He'd do a volunteer neighborhood watch when we had trespassers. He never acted as if he'd left the FCS family. We were still family to him and he was still family to us. It's hard to think that both him and Momma are gone. (I never thought of her as Oma, she was always Momma.) my deepest heartfelt condolences to the Harrison family. Know that we love Fred and Momma as if they were our own.

I will miss his visits to the office. Rest in peace Fred.

Fred's passing is bitter sweet. We will miss his presence and conversations, but know that he will not suffer any longer and is once again united with "momma" his wife. It will be difficult not seeing him almost daily as we routinely did. Prayers for his family and may you find comfort in all good memories of him. Bless you all.
