Geneva Esther Wilson

WILSON, Geneva Esther, age 95 of Brooksville, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Cheryl’s Care, Brooksville.  Born in Saginaw, MI she came here 37 years ago from Orlando, FL.  Mrs. Wilson was a retired beautician, but still enjoyed volunteering her services for those in need.  She formerly taught special needs children at Primrose School in Orlando and was a substitute teacher at Hernando High School, Brooksville.  She was a member of Spring Hill Calvary Church of the Nazarene and volunteered her time visiting the nursing homes for ministry services.  She kept her trunk full of toys to give to less fortunate children and she was passionate about her chocolate chip cookies!  Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law:  Dr. Gary E. & Marilyn Wilson of Spring Hill, FL and Danny & Dawn Wilson of Port Richey, FL; daughters:  Janice Marie Tyler of  E. Tawas, MI and Genevieve Gouine of Davidson, MI;  Grandchildren:  Dan Wilson, Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL, Debbie Roub of Melbourne, FL, Melinda Frederick of Lumberton, NC, Christopher Wilson & Benjamin Wilson both of Brooksville, Misci Tyler of Seattle, WA, Stephen & Nathan Tyler both of  E. Tawas, MI and Rodney, Sharon, Karen & Randy; great grandchildren:  Kendra, Kelsey, Lauren, Brennan, Pandora, Logan, Jack, Quinton, Dylan, Hunter, Coral & Caelan.  Visitation for friends will be 5 - 7pm, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm, Monday, November 26, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Brooksville, 109 South Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34601, with Rev. Wesley Harris, and Rev. G. H. Trumbo officiating.  Interment will follow at the Brooksville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Spring Hill Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Youth Fund, 235 Cobblestone Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34606.
