MEZZACAPO, Gerard F. “Jerry”, age 68 of Spring Hill died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at is home. Born in Jamaica, NY he came to this area 9 years ago from Ohio. He was an electronics technician for the Dept. of The Air Force, US Navy Veteran, past president of the Spring Hill Amateur Radio Club and member of Spring Hill Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brother: Joseph. Survivors include his wife: Judith; son: James Mezzacapo and daughter: Lauren Mezzacapo, both of Tampa; sister: Ollie Doncaster or Port Orange, FL and 4 grandchildren: Cody, Kiersten, Kendra and Bella. Visitation for friends will be 3-6pm Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. A memorial service with Military Honors will be conducted 11am Monday, October 4, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
