CONNORS, James Albert, age 61 of Brooksville, died Aug. 25, 2006 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY he came here 34 years ago from Long Island, NY. He was a residential construction inspector with the City of Brooksville, a U.S. Army Veteran, funding member of the Hernando Sportsman?s Club, member of the National Rifle Association and of the Presbyterian faith.Survivors include his Wife: Virginia Bunch-Winston Connors; Step-Son & Daughter-in-law: Ernest T. & Jessica Winston, III of Spring Hill; Step-Daughters & Sons-in-law: Teresa Winston of Columbus, OH, Melanie & Bill Combs and Nancy & John Mason all of Brooksville; Mother: Ruth Connors and Sister & Brother-in-law: Linda & Larry Roderick all of Weeki Wachee; Grandchildren: Zachary Winston, Bryanna Lacy & Christina Lacy all of Spring Hill, Brett Bower & Brooke Bower both of Columbus, OH, Billy Combs, Charley Combs, Mike Combs, Wyatt Mason & Dylan Mason all of Brooksville; Aunt: Rose Ann Scully & Cousin: Sharon Sculy both of Brooksville; Aunt: Patricia Scully & Cousins: Kevin & Gary Scully all of New York; Nephew: Morgan Roderick of Weeki Wachee.Visitation for friends will be 4 - 8pm, Thurs., Aug. 31, 2006 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be 2:00pm, Fri., Sept. 1, 2006 at the Florida National Cemetery.
