John A. Rodriguez

Born April 10, 1942 in Tampa, Florida to Jack and Mary Rodriguez. For many years he worked at Schlitz Brewing and then Stroh Brewing Company. He moved to Brooksville 26 years ago where he worked at a machine shop. He loved working on things and could fix anything. Besides loving his family, he loved working and riding on Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 35 years, Marie and his parents, Jack and Mary. He is survived by his sons, John Rodriguez Jr of Tampa, Florida, Michael Martin of Tampa, Florida, Jack Rodriguez of Alabama, and Michael Rodriguez (Erida) of Riverview, Florida; his daughters, Tina Sapp (Joseph) of Brooksville, Florida and Melinda Scarborough (James) of Brooksville, Florida; his special friend, Judy Croon; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Milo Rodriguez of West Virginia. He had many friends that he considered family and never met a stranger.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will take place at 10:30am, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, with Pastor Bob Hope officiating.  Burial will follow Services at Brooksville Cemetery.
