Kenneth Andrew Ferris

FERRIS, Kenneth Andrew, age 85 of Brooksville, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Born February 26, 1927 in Hamlin, NY to Andrew and Marie (Flugel) Ferris, he moved to Brooksville in the 1980's from Brockport and Kendall, NY. Mr. Ferris was a retired foreman with Eastman Kodak and served in the NY State National Guard. A member of Christ Lutheran Church, Elks Club and Brookridge Golf League, he was an avid winter and summer sportsman. Preceeded in death by his brother, Randall Ferris; sister, Eleanor Ritz and grandson, Carl Haggstrom. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan (Jackson) Ferris; daughters, Leslie (David) Haggstrom of Angelica, NY, Carol (Ferris) Heveron of Rochester, NY and Virginia Ferris of Angelica, NY; grandchildren, Gabriel (Shari) Sloane, John Haggstrom, Margaret Heveron,  Katharine (Jeffrey) Sherwood and Candace (Joshua) Clapp; great grandchildren, Elijah Sloane, Raygen Haggstrom, Christian Sloane and Ayden Sherwood; brother, James (Janet) Ferris; brother-in-law, James (Carol) Jackson; sisters-in-law, Jean (Henry) Klein, Linnett (Lyle) DeMocker and Celia Ponton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, November 5, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.
