
She was born August 15, 1927 in Wilmington, North Carolina and came to Florida over 20 years ago from San Diego, California. She was a teacher and school administrator her entire career, mainly in El Cajon, California, where she was highly respected and revered as an experienced and dedicated professional. In fact her school district is currently flying their American flags at half staff in her memory.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Martin Mac McCormick, William Phillippe, and Charles Stanton Kirchmann Sr., survived by sisters, Sarah Hall of Pinetop, Arizona, and Jayne Diange of Long Island, New York; son, Merril Kirchmann of Jamul, California; daughter, Ann Schmenger of San Diego, California; and son, Charles (Chip) Kirchmann of Clearwater, Florida; and grandchildren Whittney and Briana Kirchmann, Ricky and Randy Metivier, and Diana Kirchmann.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday January 25, 2020 at Brooksville Wesleyan Church. There will be a public Celebration of Life, followed by the spreading of ashes for close friends and family in the Memorial Garden she helped establish.
