Michael Francis Bessell

BESSELL, Michael Francis, age 69 of Hernando, Florida, passed away Monday, September 20. 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Miami, Florida on February 10, 1952 to Raymond T. & Ann (Chesky) Bessell and moved to the town of Hernando from Boynton Beach, Florida.  He served his country in the United States Army from 1976-1984. In 1988, he obtained his general contractor license from the state of Florida. He began his career as a building inspector and worked for the City of Fort Lauderdale, City of Plantation, City of Boca Raton and most recently Hernando County. In 1992, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration. He served his communities on the Homeowners Association Board of Directors in Boynton Beach and Hernando. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Stephanie Bessell. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife:  Monica L. (Wilson) Bessell of Hernando, Florida; daughter & son-in-law:  Heather L. & George L. Humphrey, III of Moline, Illinois; grandchildren:  George Humphrey, IV, Justice Humphrey, and Bryce Humphrey of Moline, Illinois; extended family, friends and colleagues. 

Michael's memorial service will be private with family.
