Michael A. Johnson

JOHNSON, Michael A. “Mike”, age 53 of Perry, Florida and formerly of Brooksville died recently at his home.  Born in Highland Park, Michigan, his family moved to Brooksville in 1971.  He was class president of the Hernando High School graduating class of 1977 and was a licensed funeral director, retiring from Wilder Fountains Funeral Home in Homosassa.    He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  Mike had a big, jovial personality, was well loved by his family and friends and he was a loving father.

Survivors include his daughter:  Danielle M. Johnson of Inverness; mother:  Marcelene Johnson of Brooksville; brothers:  Mark Johnson of Laredo, TX and Matt Johnson of Chassahowitzka; sisters:  Michele Calderon and Mandy Justice both of Brooksville and his loving friend Gay Kallschmidt of Perry.

Mike’s family will receive friends from 5 – 6pm, Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where memorial services will begin at 6:00pm with Reverend David Hope officiating.
