Born in Gainesville, he moved to Brooksville in the 1950s. He moved back to Gainesville from Colorado. Richard was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and served in WWII. He was a rancher and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife June. Survivors include his daughters, Gail (Mark) Hewitt of San Antonio TX, Carol (Sherman) Mathews of Coppers Cove, TX, Lynn (Randy) Padgett of Hawthorne, FL; Grandchild, Traci (Aaron) White; two great-grandchildren, Mathew and Bailey.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11:00am
at Lake Lindsey Cemetery with Pastor Josh Wilson officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Haven Hospice.
