He was born May 28, 1956 in Long Island, New York and moved to Florida 13 years ago from Richmond, Virginia. He spent 13 years in the United States Air Force, ranked as Staff Sergeant and was an IT Specialist for the Veterans Administration. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include his wife: Janis; his children and their spouses: Derek & Stephanie Cangero of Port Richey, Florida, Philip & Ashley Hoffman of Port Richey, Florida, Michael Hoffman of Spring Hill, Florida and Brett Cangero; sister: Wendy Mathews of Petoskey, Michigan; and was a proud grandfather of 1 ½ grandchildren.
