

Alan was born in Brunswick on June 6, 1970, to Harry and Sheryl Mimbs. He grew up in St. Marys and Waycross attending Waycross High School and graduating in 1988 from Camden County High School. He loved to cook and worked as a chef at some of the most popular restaurants on St. Simons Island. He was an avid fan of fast cars, racing, Georgia Bulldog football, animals-especially his dog Boo, and he enjoyed spending time at the beach. He loved sharing his humor with his daughter, nieces, nephews, and the children of his many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry Mimbs and Sheryl Pilgrim Bradford. He is survived by his daughter, Jordan Holton of Douglas, his siblings - Lisa Bryson (Homer) of Nicholson, William Mimbs (Sarah) of Greenville, SC, James Mimbs of Gainesville, and Cristy Leverett (Dalton) of Brunswick. Nieces and nephews Will Mimbs, Haleigh Bates (Buck), Zachery Mimbs, Sydney Mimbs, Shelby Mimbs, Lucy Bryson, AJ Bryson, Ryan Casey, and Adelise Leverett. Great nephews and niece Caden Bates, Addie Bates, and Mason Bates.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, June 11 at 2:00 PM at the Edo Miller and Sons Chapel, 3321 Glynn Avenue, Brunswick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
