Almeda Scott

Almeda S. Scott, 85, of Waynesville, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, August, 24, 2010 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Fouche officiating.

Born September 14, 1924 in Glynn County Georgia to the late Daniel and Ethel Arnette Surrency, she was a homemaker and former employee of Sea Pack. She had resided in Brantley County since 1992, and was of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. Scott was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Scott and a granddaughter, Donya Strickland.

Survivors include her sons, Terry Strickland and wife Judy of Darien, Donald Strickland of Fripp Island, SC, a daughter, Kay Iovine of Waynesville, seven grandchildren Terri Amarca, Lauree Giunta and husband Larry, Gregory Iovine and wife Melissa, Christy Strickland, Annette Williford and husband David, Seth Jordan, Wilson Strickland, and seven great grandchildren.
