Anne Jenkins Tolleson

Mrs. Tolleson was born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia; she is the daughter of C.C. and Ernestine Jenkins. After graduating from Glynn Academy, she attended the University of Georgia. While there, Anne married her beloved husband of 63 years, Charles. Following their time at the University, the couple moved to Atlanta where they raised their family. In 1993, they retired to Florida. Anne enjoyed fishing, shrimping, gardening, reading, walking on the beach, and playing bridge, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Lisa (Kevin) Goodman, Alpharetta, Ga; David (Kim) Tolleson, Roswell, Ga; and Lynn Goodfriend, Jacksonville, Fl; six grandchildren; brother Jack (Faye) Jenkins, St. Simons Island, Ga; and several nephews, nieces, and cherished friends. The family is especially grateful to Dr. Gregory Favis and the kind, competent staff of Halifax Regional Oncology Center, who treated and cared for Anne for over two decades.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave., Brunswick, GA, with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating the service. Interment will follow the service in Christ Church Frederica Cemetery, 6329 Frederica Rd., Saint Simons Island, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10Am until the funeral hour.
