Bertha Kennison Cason

Bertha “Bert” Kennison Cason, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother entered heaven on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. She passed peacefully from this life at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick Georgia.

Bertha was born on September 25, 1931, in Camden county Georgia to E. Clifford and Essie Marr Kennison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Cason,Jr., her son, Larry Stephen Cason, and her daughter Leah Von-Gartzen, five sisters and one brother.

She is survived by Pat and Lynn Kinstle of Waverly, daughter and son-in-law, and a sister Dorothy Kennison Walters of Brunswick, and Janice Cason daughter in law of Lakeland, Ga. Nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cason resided in Glynn county for most of her life and retired from Bank of America, formally First Federal Savings and Loan of Brunswick. She loved planting flowers and waiting for their blooms every spring. She took in every stray cat that found its way to her home in the country. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grands who affectionately called her Granny in the Woods.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, Georgia.
