Beverly Fugard Davis, of St. Simons Island, died Wednesday, April 28, 2015 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 11AM Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Ignatius Episcopal Church with Father Tom Purdy and Rebecca Rowell officiating.
Born June 3, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late James H. and Alice H. Fugard, she was a homemaker and had been a longtime resident of St. Simons Island. Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Ignatius Episcopal Church. She enjoyed collecting and was known for her robust personality and was a very independent woman. She enjoyed spending time at her home in the mountains as well as coastal life. She was kind and generous to all people. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her first husband whom she loved dearly US Navy Lt. Commander George Snediker.
Survivors include her god daughter, Michel Cramer and husband George of York, PA.
