Carmen Louise Wiggins

Carmen L. Wiggins, 86, wife of the late Orel Dean Wiggins, passed away Friday morning, June 14, 2024 in St. Simons, Island, Georgia. She was born March 25, 1938 in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the daughter of Archie C. and Marguerite A. (Biggar) Anderson.

She attended McAdam, New Brunswick schools and was married to Orel Dean Wiggins on August 3, 1957. She had been employed by Converse Shoe Company, Presque Isle, Fort Fairfield Potato Company, Mars Hill, and was Lead Cook for the Pine Street School, Presque Isle and Presque Isle High School. She was a member of the Aroostook County Spragueville Extention.

In addition to her parents, Carmen was predeceased by her husband, Orel Dean Wiggins on April 13, 2019; her twin brother, Clifton Anderson. She is survived by two daughters, Carrie Wiggins and her husband Mike Allen, of Presque Isle, Lori Samiya and her husband Donald of Brunswick, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Donald McIntyre of Old Ridge, New Brunswick; three grandchildren and spouses, Renee and John Landry of Patten, Kyle and Mattison Allen of Catawba, S.C., Chelsea and Mark Cyr of Chapman; three great grandchildren, Gracie Theriault of Caribou, Georgia Theriault of Patten, and Ruby Cyr of Chapman; several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 37 Lombard Road, Caribou. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Wiggins to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
