With profound love and gratitude, we honor the beautiful life of Carol, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Though she left us suddenly on May 28, 2025, her spirit shines brightly in the countless lives she touched and the joy she brought to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born to John and Stella Walter (née Petrishunas) on November 2, 1948 in Brooklyn NY, Carol was the heart of our family. She was a constant source of warmth, wisdom, and encouragement—a guiding light who lifted others up and embraced life with generosity and grace.
Her love was felt in the quiet gestures and the grand moments alike. She delighted in the laughter of her children and grandchildren, cherished meaningful conversations, and found joy in life’s simplest pleasures—a shared meal, a heartfelt embrace, and the beauty of everyday connections.
Carol’s legacy lives on in her beloved family: her husband David; their children Lisa M. Erkert (Robert), Debra A. Hamilton (Gregory), and Charles D. Hafft; her grandchildren Aviyana and Jaxsyn Erkert; her beloved brother and sister-in-law John and Susan Walter and the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who carry her love forward. Though we miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing her presence is woven into our hearts forever.
Details of a memorial service to celebrate Carol’s remarkable life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc, 1702 W. Allen Street #602 Allentown, PA 18104 or go to www.saveayorkierescue.org continuing her legacy of kindness and generosity.
Carol brought light, love, and laughter into the world, and her spirit remains as strong as ever in the memories we hold dear. Her life was a gift, and we will forever honor the beauty of her soul.
