Christine Harris

Christine Harris, 80, of Brunswick, GA, passed away Thursday evening the 19th of September, 2013, at Hospice of the Golden Isles. A funeral service will be held at 6 PM Sunday, the 22nd of September, 2013, with Reverend John R. Harris, Jr.,

officiating. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time (5 PM – 6 PM ) at Bay Harbour Church of God.

Mrs. Harris was a native of Ware County born the 31st of October, 1932, to the late Frank Harris and the late Nanetta Waters Harris. She lived the majority of her life in St. Mary’s GA, before residing in Glynn County for the past ten years.

Mrs. Harris was a member of the Church of God for 66 years, being a charter member of the Osborne Road Church of God in Camden County, where she became a great bible teacher and prayer warrior for many years, before moving to Glynn County where she became a member of her son’s church, Bay Harbour Church of God. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker that enjoyed baking, and spending quality time with her family that she loved so dearly. She leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.

In addition to Mrs. Harris’ parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harris; and her son Tommy Harris.

Survivors include her son, Pastor Rickey Harris and wife Gwen of Brunswick, GA; four grandchildren Rev. John R. Harris, Jr., and wife Jennifer; Karla McLain and husband Shane, all of Brunswick, GA; Natalie Martin and husband Tim; and Jabe Harris all of St. Mary’s GA; four great-grandchildren Marcus and Ryan Harris both of Brunswick, GA, Tucker McLain of Brunswick, GA, and Greyson Thrift of St. Mary’s GA; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Christine Harris Endowment Scholarship at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary , C/O Bay Harbour Church of God, 3210 Hwy. 82, Brunswick, GA 31523
