

Connie Perry Godley, 90, of Brunswick departed this life Tuesday, June 17, 2024 at Heritage Oaks Health on St. Simons Island. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, June 23, 2025 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Don Combs officiating.
Born April 8, 1935 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late George Brown and Ida Steiner Cornelius Perry, and was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. Mrs. Godley was a graduate of Glynn Academy and enjoyed working with her classmates on many class reunions over the years. Connie retired from the Glynn County Probate Court. She was a charter member of Lakeside Community Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Most of all she loved spending time with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. “Gene” Godley, a daughter, Julee Crews, and a son-in-law, Gene Barr.
Survivors include three children, Gale Barr of Brunswick, Perry Godley and wife Renee of Marietta, GA, Maggie Fuller and husband Jeff of Lake City, FL, son-in-law, Tom Crews (Julee) of Brunswick, five grandchildren, Bryan Bergman, Cate Godley (Frank McDowell), Lillie Vinton (Ryan), Ted Fuller (Heather) and Tommy Fuller (Logan), and five great grandchildren, Dylan Fuller, Nolan Fuller, Jacob Fuller, June Vinton and Elly Vinton and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
