

Dan B Foster passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, in 1931, to Dr. Bernard Foster and Aline Green Foster, he spent his childhood in Pawnee City, Nebraska surrounded by his extended family.
After serving in the army during the Korean war, Dan graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in journalism and economics.
He spent 10 years in St. Louis before being transferred to Atlanta where he resided for over 30 years . Dan was a commercial real estate executive in Atlanta for over 25 years and served as president for the Building Owners and Managers Association. He was in Rotary in St Louis and Atlanta and involved in his community.
Dan had a great love of fishing, especially fly fishing! He found his dream home on the Hiawassee River in the North Carolina mountains. He and his wife retired there before eventually moving to St Simons Island, Ga. in 2022.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Debbie Foster, and children Mary Foster Wilson (Rudy), Sarah Foster, David Foster (Debra), Tiffany Hampton, and Dale Hampton (Jessi). Dan was a proud and devoted father of 5, grandfather of 7, and great grandfather of 8.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date . The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
