David Ray Yates Jr

Mr. Yates was a native of Smyrna, Tenn. and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 16 years. David was a Deputy Sheriff with the Glynn County Sheriff Department for the past 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Lucille A. Yates.

Survivors are his wife, Heidi Nicole Yates of Brunswick, two sons, Matthew Yates and Wyatt Yates, two daughters, MacKenzie Yates and Whitney Yates all of Brunswick, his parents, David and Ester Yates, Sr. if Wartrace, TN., a brother, Nick Yates (Brandy) of Christiana, TN., grandfathers, Mike Anderjack of Manchester, TN. and Raymond Dyer of Nashville, TN., two nieces, Addison and Alyssa Yates of Christiana, TN.

Memorial Services will be held at 6 PM Wednesday 9/14/11 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Lamb officiating.

Chapel Services will be held at 3 PM Friday 9/15/11 in the Woodfin Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, TN. with Interment to follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN.

The family request any contributions be made to David’s Children C/O, Heidi Nicole Yates in Brunswick, Ga.

The family will receive friends in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday, 9/14/11 from 4 to 6 PM and in Murfreesboro Friday 9/16/11 from 1 to 3 PM at the Woodfin Funeral Home.
