Donald Mason Farnell

Donald Mason Farnell, 88, of Brunswick, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 1105 Union Street in Brunswick with the Reverend Chris Noyes officiating. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall.

Born February 23, 1928 in Miami, Florida, to the late William and Mable McIntosh Farnell, he was a long-time resident of Brunswick. A graduate of Glynn Academy, he then served three years in the U.S Air Force. He attended South Georgia College. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed volunteering at the Manna House, was a member of the YMCA and an avid football fan.

In addition to Mr. Farnell’s parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, William Farnell.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Duke Farnell, daughter, Donna Sammond (Jeff), and sons, Richard Farnell (Melinda), and Greg Farnell (Leigh). and other family members.
