Edward Duncan Anderson

Edward was the beloved husband of Dolores Anderson for 56 years. They lived in St. Simons for the last 11 years. The family is blessed with two children, Brent Anderson and Alyssa Wankewicz. Brent and his wife Keri live in St. Simons and have three precious grandchildren; Ryles age 11, Banks age 9, and Emit.

Alyssa Wankewicz and her husband, Brad and they reside in Perkasie, Pa. They are expecting their first child, a girl, this June.

Ed was a visionary and enjoyed exploring different languages which later prepared him for shifting to his new love - computer programing. With his masters degree in Decision Sciences (Georgia State) he went on to study early AI (artificial intelligence) programing languages and taught Small Talk and Lisp at Georgia Tech as they were first developed for two years. He later worked for Anderson Consulting in programing. Ed also loved literature, Tai Chi, growing plants, and classical music, kayaking and nature. The Anderson families are active members at Wesley Church at Frederica.

A a celebration of life for Edward will be held Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Wesley Church at Frederica, 6520 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, Georgia 31522.

Remembrances may be sent to the American Cancer Society or to Wesley Church at Frederica in St. Simons.
